The Medina HS Boys & Girls Rugby teams got their 2020 seasons started with victories on Sunday, March 8th at Ken Dukes Stadium. The HS Boys started to day with an 11:00am kick-off against Brunswick. A.J Coltz, Anthony Church and Tristan Perrine all crossed the tryline for the Bees with Kyler Krogh kicking two conversions for a 26-10 win. The HS Girls kicked-off against Amherst at 2:30pm in the final match of the day. Haylee Roach had a huge day scoring 4 tries for the Bees. Rosa Treece dotted down 2 tries of her own with Sarah Burneson and Sarah Schultz chipping in 1 try each. Clare Tschannen was accurate off the kicking tee converting 5 of 8 tries.
In between the two HS varsity matches, the Medina JV boys faced off against Northwest. In a highly competitive match, Northwest proved to be too much with the Bees coming out on the losing end 32-15. A.J Kirlough scored all three tries for Medina in the match.
